Clinical Interview

ADIR

The ADIR (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised) is a structured interview used as part of the diagnostic process for autism spectrum disorders. It can be used with children and adults with a developmental age above 2 years.

The ADI-R has proven effectiveness in differentiating autism from other developmental disorders, assessing syndrome boundaries, identifying new sub-groups and quantifying autistic symptomatology.

Composed of 93 items, the ADI-R focuses on three functional domains:

  • Language and Communication

  • Reciprocal Social Interactions

  • Restricted, Repetitive and Stereotyped Behaviours and Interests

ACIA

ACIA: The Autism Clinical Interview for Adults (ACIA) is a diagnostic assessment for people age 16+ that can be used in clinical services or research. The interview can be carried out with close family, or partner or with the individual being assessed. The ACIA gathers background information, explores social communication and interaction, and restrictive, repetitive patterns of behaviour, interests and activities.

RAADS

RAADS: The RAADS (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale) is a self-report questionnaire designed to assist in the assessment of adults with suspected autism. It covers various aspects such as social relationships, language, sensory-motor issues, and circumscribed interests and is used as a part of multiprofessional evaluation.
